متن

We have a new neighbour. Her name is Mrs Karimi and she moved in last week. She lives in the flat next to ours, on the third floor. She is about seventy years old and she is retired. Before, she was a teacher at a primary school.

Mrs Karimi lives alone, but she has a small white cat called Snow. She loves plants — her balcony is full of flowers. Every morning she waters them and listens to the radio.

Yesterday she knocked on our door with a plate of cookies. She said, “Hello! I'm your new neighbour.” My mum invited her in for tea. I think we are going to be good friends.

نکته

دقت کنید چطور moved in و knocked و said با زمان گذشته آمده‌اند، اما عادت‌های هر روزش (waters، listens) با حال ساده. همین تفاوت کمک می‌کند بفهمید چه چیزی یک بار اتفاق افتاده و چه چیزی همیشگی است.
