طبیعت و چشم‌اندازها

ایران برای یاد گرفتن کلمه‌های طبیعت یک هدیه است: قله‌های برفی، جنگل‌های سبز شمال، دو کویر بزرگ، ساحل در کنار دو دریا و جزیره‌های خلیج فارس. بیایید از آن استفاده کنیم.

سفری دور ایران

Start in the Alborz mountains and climb to the peak of Damavand, the highest in the Middle East. Drive north through the forests of Gilan, where streams and waterfalls are everywhere. Then head south-east to the Lut desert, one of the hottest places on Earth. Visit the Ali Sadr cave, where you can take a boat on an underground lake. Finish on the island of Qeshm, walking through the strange Valley of the Stars.

حروف اضافه در طبیعت

• in the mountains، in the forest، in the desert، in the countryside
• on the coast، on an island، on the beach
• by the sea، by a lake، by the river (کنار)
• at the top of the mountain (بالای کوه)، at the bottom of the valley (ته دره)

صفت‌هایی که یک مکان را زنده می‌کنند

breathtaking (نفس‌گیر، آن‌قدر زیبا که نفستان بند می‌آید)، peaceful (آرام)، remote (دورافتاده)، rocky (سنگلاخی)، lush (سرسبز و پرپشت)، sandy (شنی)، steep (پرشیب؛ مسیری که تند بالا می‌رود).

یک خطای کوچک ولی رایج

nature معمولاً حرف تعریف نمی‌گیرد: I love nature؛ نه I love the nature. برای «بیرون از شهر» به‌طور کلی هم the countryside بهتر از the village است: We spent the weekend in the countryside.

یک مکان را توصیف کنید

چهار پنج جمله درباره‌ی جای طبیعی‌ای که دوستش دارید بنویسید. حداقل سه اسم و دو صفت از این درس را به کار ببرید.

بعد جاهای خالی را پر کنید: We stayed in a small cabin ___ the forest, ___ a lake. From the ___ of the hill, the view was ___.
