A neighbourhood café began opening its back room to people who wanted a quiet place to read on Tuesday mornings. Visitors can order a drink, but they do not have to. The owner says the room is usually unused at that time, and a volunteer brings a small box of books for people to borrow. Some regular customers like the calmer atmosphere. Others miss using the room for larger groups, so the café still makes it available for group bookings on other days.
