هنر ایرانی برای یک دوست انگلیسی‌زبان

If you visit Isfahan, don't miss the Chehel Sotoun palace. Its walls are covered with Safavid paintings of royal banquets and battles. Persian miniature painting is famous for its tiny details and bright colours — some masterpieces took years to finish. For something completely different, the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art has an impressive collection of modern Western and Iranian works.

رُک بودن در گفت‌وگوی انگلیسی اشکالی ندارد، اما انتقاد را نرم کنید: “It's not really my thing” خوشایندتر از “It's terrible” است.

یک اثر هنری را توصیف کنید

یک تابلو یا عکس که دوستش دارید انتخاب کنید و پنج شش جمله بنویسید: در پیش‌زمینه و پس‌زمینه چه هست، رنگ‌ها چطورند و چه حسی به شما می‌دهد.

انتخاب کنید: 1) A picture of a person's face is a (portrait / landscape). 2) The museum has a new (exhibition / curator) of Qajar photographs. 3) This painting uses only circles and lines — it's (abstract / contemporary).
